Have you ever wondered why I became a Louisiana Wedding photographer? So many have asked this question and I'm here to share with you the heart behind my business, and why I believe a photograph is worth way more than a thousand words.
the heart behind my business
Since that day, almost 14 years ago (has it really been that long?), photographs have been something that I hold near and dear to my heart. They're a way to hold on to memories just a little longer, step back in time, and relive all those special moments.
Some may know this, and some of you may not. I lost my father in the spring of 2010 at the age of 12. He was my best friend, my confidant, and basically my first love. The loss was unexpected and it most definitely changed my life.
God carried me through some very deep waters to show me what kind of purpose I was called to do- to capture all those images that we wished we could've had with the ones we've loved and lost. Photos are so important, and people like me who have suffered the loss of someone so important, we'll forever hold on to those photographs.
The images in this blog are some of the only photos that I have with my sweet daddio. His loving spirit and outgoing/silliness definitely made me who I am today. He was such a huge inspiration to me, and where I got my stubbornness from. The photo quality is terrible, but the person in the photos is high quality.
some of my favorite images of us:
The lighting is terrible.
The photos are terrible quality.
But the memory? Absolutely priceless.
Growing up, I was always drawn to take pictures and keeping that memory forever locked away on my computer. My love for photography really blossomed in 2019 when my husband(boyfriend at the time) purchased me a camera. And since then, my journey took me this far. I am very thankful for everyone who has supported me and believed in me. And a special thank you to my sweet dad for always watching over me and being my guardian angel. You will always have the best seat in the house.
